Eight-storey scheme in Kingston upon Thames set to begin imminently
A European private equity investor has forward funded a 200-bed co-living development in south-west London.

The real estate investor DFI announced it had completed an off-market transaction for the project in Kingston upon Thomas, which has a gross development value of £80m.
The scheme, which has been designed by Assael Architecture and is being delivered by developer Viewranks Estates, has full planning permission and Gateway 2 approval and is located near the train station.
Construction of the eight-storey scheme is set to begin imminently.
“This is a compelling, off-market opportunity to invest in a high-demand, undersupplied sector that is still evolving in London, under a defensive deal structure,” said investment director Francesco Orofino.
“With only c. 7,000 co-living beds in the capital, we are bringing forward a high-quality, aspirational asset and one where we see real potential to replicate across the market.”
