Housebuilder says 30% of properties are reserved for a local housing association
Persimmon Homes’ Cornwall and West Devon division has submitted an outline planning application for up to 300 homes in Saltash.

The housebuilder says it undertook “extensive engagement” with the local community and council in advance of the submission, which resulted in the inclusion of a community hub as part of its application to build at Latchbrook Farm.
Of the proposed properties, 30% have been reserved for a local housing association.
The proposal also includes a playground, natural play area and the allocation of over half of the development for green space.
A location for a new school has been reserved to the immediate north of the site, with contributions from Persimmon to facilitate its opening, which can also be used by the council to improve existing schools in the area. A neighbourhood centre is also proposed in Treledan.
The site would connect into a proposed cycle/pedestrian overpass from Treledan over the A38 onto Liskeard Road, while Persimmon said it is looking to supply a bus stop to service the development.
In a trading update at the start of the year Persimmon said it expects to complete 12,043 homes and achieve underlying pre-tax profit of between £461m and £487m in 2026.
