The code, which has been in operation since last October, aims to ensure customers benefit from transparency on costs, responsibilities and processes, as well as stronger protections that go beyond minimum standards.

L&Q is the fourth adopter of the code, after LiveWest in May 2026 and Abri and Poplar HARCA in June.

The total number of homes covered by providers is now more than 22,000, with 105,000-home L&Q managing more than 11,000 shared ownership properties.

Eight other housing providers are currently in the process of adopting the code.
