A rooftop padel court and communal kitchen form part of the proposals
Wavensmere Homes has published plans for a co-living scheme in Nottingham with 320 studio apartments.

This includes the redevelopment of the Waterway House site just south of Nottingham Railway Station to include a gym, padel court, communal kitchen and dining areas, games room, lounges, co-working space and meeting rooms in the residential building.
While each studio flat will be self-contained with an en-suite bathroom and kitchenette, residents will also have access to a communal kitchen.
Nottingham City Council previously granted planning consent for an eight-storey apartment scheme with car parking at ground level.
Wavensmere’s new plans include five habitable storeys, alongside a roof level for a padel court and open air social space. The entire ground floor of the building is proposed for amenity provision.
The existing site comprises Waterway House – a 1970s two-storey office building previously owned by the council that has lain largely vacant since 2021.
Queens Walk play and recreation ground and the point where Nottingham Canal connects to the River Trent are walking distance from the plot.
The scheme was designed by Corstorphine & Wright and will be managed by co-living specialist VervLife. Redford Developments Limited selected Wavensmere to deliver the project earlier this year.
The developer is now seeking feedback from the local community until the start of December prior to submission of a full planning application.
Headquartered in Birmingham, Wavensmere Homes has 3,500 homes on site or currently in planning. The 10-year-old company is in the final phase of the £175m redevelopment of the former Derbyshire Royal Infirmary.
