Mike Shepherd rejoins landlord from investment management firm
Housing association Vivid has appointed Mike Shepherd as its new chief investment officer.

Shepherd rejoins the 37,000-home landlord from investment management firm Man Group, where he served as investment director for three years leading the delivery of mixed tenure homes using institutional capital.
Prior to this, he held roles as Vivid’s development and new business director and then as group development director between 2017 and 2023. He also currently chairs the board at housing association Sussex Housing and Care.
Mike Perry, chief executive at Vivid, said: “Mike’s expertise and leadership will be instrumental in helping us achieve our ambitious plans to build more homes and bright futures for our customers and communities. It’s fantastic to have him back in the team.”
Vivid operates across the south of England. It reported an annual turnover of £407.5m in 2024/25.
