The joint venture will deliver 35% affordable housing
Vistry Group and Kier Property, part of Kier Group, have received full planning permission for 343 homes in South Wokingham, Berkshire.
The properties at Holme Meadows will be mixed-tenure, with 65% for private sale and 35% for unspecified affordable housing tenures.
The proposals are part of a wider scheme, with a further 298 homes in the pipeline for future phases.
Trevor Wicks, managing director at Vistry Thames Valley, said: “This is a major milestone in our joint venture with Kier Property which will bring forward high-quality, mixed-tenure homes that reflect our commitment to sustainable placemaking and meeting local housing needs, as well as supporting the council’s vision for South Wokingham.”

Work is due to begin this autumn and first completions are expected in summer 2026.
The Holmes Meadow site sits within the wider South Wokingham Strategic Development Location (SDL), forming part of the local authority’s vision for more than 1,400 new homes in the area.
In summer 2024, Wokingham Borough Council approved outline plans for 1,434 units in the SDL. The application was submitted by Kier Ventures and Miller Homes for a mixed-use development including a two-form entry primary school, local centre and play areas.
