Landlord’s new corporate strategy spans delivery, customer service, care and support and staff performance
Riverside has revealed plans to build 8,000 new homes over the next decade as well as its five-year corporate strategy.

The creation of the ‘Brighter Future Together’ plan marks the first time Riverside has extended its planning cycle from three to five years.
Between 2026-2031, the organisation will focus on delivering five strategic goals spanning customer service, care and support, staff performance and housing delivery, which Riverside said will enable it to be “best placed to navigate new challenges, including rising regulatory expectations, an ongoing shortage of housing and increasing pressure on the health and care sectors.”
It also aims to improve the affordability of homes and cut carbon emissions by making all properties “energy efficient” by 2030.
Paul Dolan, group chief executive of Riverside, said the strategy will ultimately “deliver better services, provide high-quality homes, support people in our society who need us the most and create an inclusive and passionate team to deliver for today and far into the future.”
Riverside’s group board will review the five strategic goals twice a year, while detailed delivery plans for each goal will be drawn up and subject to regular reviews through the Riverside committee framework.
Riverside manages more than 75,000 homes across England and Scotland.
The five strategic goals under Riverside’s Brighter Future Together corporate plan are:
- Every customer has a quality, safe, affordable and healthy home that they can be proud of.
- Services are reliable and easy to use, customers have a voice and trust Riverside.
- Riverside leads the sector in advancing care, support, reducing stigma and promoting inclusion.
- Riverside staff thrive in an inclusive, high-performing culture and are proud to put the customer first.
- Riverside delivers as many homes as it can with a commitment to remain financially resilient.
