76,000-home landlord appoints Angela Lockwood, Richard Petty and Maggie Porteous 

Riverside has announced the appointment of three major figures to its board.

The 76,000-home association has appointed Angela Lockwood, Richard Petty and Maggie Porteous to its board.

Porteus takes on the role of vice-chair. She joins Riverside’s board after a 31-year-career with the John Lewis Partnership, where she led 20,000 Partners across 51 department stores. She is also on the board of 50,000-home Abri Group and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Lockwood, who has previously been a board observer, will transition to become a full board member in October. She is a well-known housing sector figure who served for 15 years as chief executive of North Star Housing Group.

Petty is a Chartered Surveyor and Head of UK Residential Valuation at JLL, with nearly three decades of experience advising the social housing sector.

He has held senior board roles at Watford Community Housing Trust, Richmond Housing Partnership, Anchor Hanover Group, and Dolphin Living.
