Further increases in development activity from 51,000-home provider
Platform increased its completions by 17% in the first quarter of the year.
The 51,000-home landlord in an unaudited trading update this morning said it completed 303 homes in the three months to 30 June, up from 260 for the same period the previous year. Its investment in new homes rose 33% to £102m over the same period.

The announcement of a further increase in development comes just weeks after the housing association confirmed in its annual financial statement a 33% rise in its annual completions. It built 1,380 homes in 2025/26 compared to 1,036 the previous year.
This morning’s trading update also said Platform’s increased its turnover year-on-year 5.6% to £97.5m, boosted by a 7.2% increase in social housing lettings income and a 12.9% rise in shared ownership first tranche sales growth.
Platform’s operating surplus including fixed asset sales decreased by 4.4% to £23.7m.
Platform announced last month that it has appointed Emma Palmer as its chief executive.
She will take over from Kevin Bolt who has been interim since the start of the year following the departure of Elizabeth Froude to for-profit Sage Homes.
Palmer, who until June was chief executive at 14,000-home Eastlight Community Housing, will take up the new role in September.
