Plans include 25% affordable housing
West Lothian Council has granted outline planning permission to Persimmon Homes for a new 2,800-home community.

The Gavieside Farm scheme will be delivered on the west side of Livingston on mainly agricultural land, a site already allocated for development in the local plan.
The proposals include 700 affordable homes, a new primary school, land for healthcare uses, a village centre with retail and community space and a play area alongside a new Gavieside bridge and active travel routes.
Neil Martin, Persimmon Homes East Scotland land director, said: “As well as delivering up to 2,800 high-quality, energy-efficient homes, including 700 affordable homes, the plans will provide investment in schools, healthcare, transport infrastructure and community facilities.”
The development will be delivered over a number of phases.
