Change at the top for non-compliant G15 landlord
Notting Hill Genesis’ chief executive Patrick Franco is set to depart the G15 landlord, with Helen Evans expected to be confirmed as interim boss within hours.
Housing Today understands Evans, previously chief executive of Network Homes, will take up the CEO role for at least 12 months. She will work closely with chief customer officer Victor da Cunha.
Patrick Franco, formerly of estate agent giant Foxtons, is understood to be in the process of departing the G15 landlord. He has held the CEO role at the 68,000-home landlord since January 2023.
The provider has been working on an improvement plan after being downgraded to a non-compliant ‘G3’ governance grade by the Regulator of Social Housing in November 2024.
Evans was previously chief executive of Network Homes before its merger with Sovereign. She is also the chair of Moat Homes and previously served on the board of Paradigm.
The news emerged a couple of days after NHG announced it has filed its accounts late for the second time in three years.
NHG in July said it will report a pre-tax deficit of £285.7m in 2025/26, due mainly to one-off asset valuation adjustments, impairments and building safety remediation provisions. Earlier this year CFO Mark Smith stood down and NHG drafted in Ken Youngman, formerly of Family Mosaic as interim. It also last year appointed former Peabody boss Brendan Sarsfield as chair.
NHG declined to comment.
