David Montague joins later living developer recently acquired by Natwest Pension Trustee Limited
Former L&Q chief executive David Montague has been appointed chair of retirement housing developer Inspired Villages.

Montague is a well-known figure in the social housing sector having led housing association giant L&Q from 2008 to 2021.
He has also been chair of the G15 and served on the board of the National Housing Federation. In 2013, Montague was awarded a CBE for services to housing in London.
His appointment as chair follows Natwest Pension Trustee Limited buying a remaining 50% stake in the business from Legal & General last month to become the sole owner.
Inspired Villages manages 11 retirement villages, housing more than 1,300 residents. In its most recently filed accounts it reported turnover of £17m in the year to 31 December 2023 and a profit of £191,000.
The developer previously announced a plan to build 5,100 homes over 15 years.
