Jane Holbrook to succeed Elaine Elkington later this year

Jane Holbrook will take over as chair of the board at Housing 21 when Elaine Elkington steps down in September 2026.

Jane Holbrook will become Housing 21’s chair of the board in September 

Holbrook is a qualified accountant and previously served as chief executive of restaurant chain Wagamama.

She is currently a patron at Bede Housing Association and senior independent director and chair of the audit and governance committee for Busy Bees Nurseries.

The former Soho House group chief financial officer is the founder of a charitable trust dedicated to social mobility for disadvantaged children. She is also an ambassador for Children in Need.

Housing 21 manages more than 24,000 retirement living and extra-care housing properties across England. It holds V1 and G1 regulatory gradings for viability and governance and a consumer grading of C2.

The Birmingham-based landlord said it aims to achieve 95% resident satisfaction.
