Government launches £1bn fund to insulate least energy efficient homes

Scheme to come into effect in April 2023 and run for up to three years

New funding of £1bn will be spent on insulating the UK’s least energy efficient homes, the business secretary has said.

Grant Shapps said the ECO+ scheme would see hundreds of thousands of homes installed with new insulations, with support targeted at those in the lower council tax bands and the most vulnerable.
