What the Pike Close redevelopment will look like

Bromley Council has given Countryside and Riverside permission to redevelop Pike Close in Bromley to deliver 170 homes.

The developer and housing association are expected to start the first phase of the scheme in the summer this year, and 92 of the homes will be affordable.

Andrew Usher, managing director, South London, Countryside, said: “Following the residents ballot approval for the regeneration in 2019, we have worked tirelessly with residents, the council and local community to design a scheme that delivers for everyone, and so we are thrilled our plans have been unanimously approved.”

The planning approval follows five years of consultation with local residents at Pike Close, with 82% in favour of redevelopment in a ballot in May 20.

Nathan Gravesande, development director, Riverside, added: “We are pleased that the redevelopment of Pike Close is commencing this year so that we can realise our vision of creating homes that are up to the high standard our residents deserve, and homes which are fit for the future.”

The redevelopment has been designed by architect HTA and is expected to be completed in 2031.
