He replaces Nicolas Guérin, who left this month to become managing director at investment firm BC Partners, and will lead a team of 40 developing schemes such as Hallsville Quarter in Canning Town, London.

Boutrolle’s career to date includes recent stints as chief executive at Uliving, Linkcity’s student accommodation brand, and director for residential development for Linkcity with a focus on build-to-rent and estate regeneration projects.

He also has more than a decade’s experience in PPP and PFI in healthcare and education and has held senior project management and commercial positions at Bouygues UK.

Commenting on his appointment, Boutrolle said: “Despite the challenges covid-19 has brought to the market, Linkcity is in a strong position.”

He said developing housing that caters to all parts of society had never been more important and that the developer would focus on delivering social value.
