G15 landlord seeks to reduce geographic spread and refocus investment
A2Dominion has transferred 582 homes across the south of England to Vivid with the aim of strengthening local service delivery for residents.
The move was designed to support A2Dominion’s strategy to reduce geographic spread and concentrate investment in core operating areas. The 38,000-home landlord hopes this will improve service consistency and responsiveness.
The deal involved homes located in Chichester, Eastleigh, Southampton and Fareham, alongside a community centre, play park and parking spaces.
A further 50 homes are expected to be handed over to Vivid at a later date as part of the wider programme.
Residents were consulted ahead of the transfer, with their tenures remaining unchanged.
Alex Nagle, customer services director at VIVID, said: “Those conversations have been invaluable, and we’re looking forward to getting to know our customers, understanding what’s important to them and supporting them in their homes and communities.
”As these homes are in areas where VIVID already works, we’ll be building on the relationships we already have locally.”
Vivid manages 37,000 homes across the south of England. It was awarded £349.9m in the first wave of government funding for the Social and Affordable Homes Programme announced yesterday (Tuesday).
In a separate transaction, A2Dominion has also agreed the transfer of 27 homes in Wealden to Saxon Weald Housing Association, which manages nearly 7,000 homes across Sussex and Hampshire.
