Glasgow-based provider says it has exceeded target of housing 11,000 homeless households over five years
Wheatley Group has reported a 25% increase in completions in the first half of the year.

In an unaudited trading update today, Scotland’s largest housing association group reported it had completed 355 homes in the six months to 30 September, up from 284 for the same period the previous year.
It is eyeing further growth to its development following the Scottish government’s decision to increase annual funding for its Affordable Housing Supply Programme in 2025/26.
It said: “The £211.9m increase […] for 2025/26 versus the prior year has provided us with greater planning certainty, increasing our pipeline for future development.”
The group also increased its overall income from £234.5m and £256.6m, while its pre-tax surplus rose from £20.5m to £28.5m. This was £10.8m higher than the 64,000-home group had budgeted for.
Its overall tenant satisfaction rate also rose year-on-year from 86.9% to 91.5%.
Wheatley said it has exceeded its five-year target of housing 11,000 homeless households six months ahead of schedule. It housed 1,374 homeless households in the six months to 30 September, bringing its five-year total to 11,115.
Steven Henderson, chief executive of Wheatley Group, said: “I am proud of Wheatley’s robust financial performance and our ability to deliver excellent services to our customers, with satisfaction levels above 90% across all four registered social landlords.”
