Adam Daniels is the new chief executive of Vistry Group with immediate effect

Daniels is promoted from executive chair of the £4bn-turnover housebuilder’s London division to succeed long-term boss Greg Fitzgerald, who announced he was stepping down last month.

Daniels, who was already part of Vistry’s executive leadership group, joined Countryside Partnerships in 2016 before it was acquired by Vistry. Daniels joined Countryside as a quantity surveyor before being promoted into several leadership roles. He also previously worked for Galliford Try and Bloor Homes.

Vistry also last month announced the appointment of former media executive Rob Woodward as chair.

Rob Woodward, non-executive chair of Vistry, said: “Adam is a proven leader, clear thinker and strong operator. I am looking forward to working closely with Adam, our chief financial officer Tim Lawlor, and the rest of the executive leadership team to ensure we maximise the strengths and opportunities of the group’s mixed-tenure partnerships model.”

Vistry last month announced its pre-tax profit for the year to 31 December increased 87% from £104.9m to £196.2m. This was primarily due to lower exceptional costs with building safety charges falling from £114.7m to £8m. It’s turnover dipped from £4.3bn to £4.2bn

Fitzgerald’s announcement came as Vistry published its full year results for the year to 31 December.

Vistry placed second in Housing Today’s annual Top 50 Housebuilders list, which ranks firms by turnover, for 2025.
