Wisley Airfield is one of six sites set to receive New Homes Accelerator support
Taylor Wimpey has been granted planning permission by Guildford Borough Council for 459 new homes at the former Wisley Airfield in Surrey.

The scheme, called Stratford View, includes one to five-bedroom homes, 40% of which will be for affordable housing through a mix of affordable rent, shared ownership and First Homes.
There will also be a neighbourhood square and central greenspace with a shop and café as well as a new country park, all of which will be open before the first homes are occupied.
Stratford View forms part of a wider masterplan for 1,730 homes across three distinct communities, with a total of 693 ringfenced for affordable housing.
The wider proposals also include a new local centre with shops, healthcare provision, sustainable mobility hub, community centre, and a primary school.
In August this year, the government announced that Wisley Airfield would be one of six sites to receive support from its New Homes Accelerator, which leverages resources and expertise available to the government and Homes England in an effort to speed up delivery.
Taylor Wimpey acquired the site, which currently includes around 70 acres of concrete runway, in March 2020 following its allocation in the Guildford local plan, with an outline planning application being submitted in July 2022.
