Fellow Cherry family firm Stonebond hires David Newell
Stonebond has hired David Newell as its new regional commercial director
The Cherry family firm has announced the appointment of Newell, who is joining the £62m-turnover firm from his role as managing director of special projects at Countryside, now part of Vistry.
Newell had spent 15 years in senior roles at Countryside and previously worked with Richard and Graham Cherry, the founders and co-chairs of Stonebond and son of Countryside founder Alan.
Newell will lead on Stonebond’s largest regional arm, operating in the Chelmsford area of Essex.
Stonebond last year announced a shift in strategy towards partnerships.

Newell said: “The company’s clear growth strategy made it a highly attractive opportunity and it’s easy to see the potential ahead.
