Thenue Housing Association, which has had four chief executives in the past year, has been told to provide assurance about compliance amid investigation into governance complaints
The Scottish Housing Regulator has launched an engagement plan for Thenue Housing Association after 11 of its board members resigned.

The regulator noted that it received complaints about governance issues at Thenue before and after the resignations in November 2025, which left the governing body with only four members.
The Glasgow-based landlord has since appointed new board members and commissioned an independent investigation into the complaints about its governance.
There have been three appointments to the post of interim chief executive since Gary Naylor left his role as the organisation’s chief executive in April 2025.
These include Alex McGuire, who performed the role until September, with Barry Allan taking over to December. Most recently, Brian Gannon was appointed to the role in December while the landlord searches for a permanent boss.
Although Thenue currently meets regulatory compliance, it must provide assurance to the regulator about its continued compliance with the standards of governance and financial management as it manages the changes within its governing body and senior team, and as it handles the ongoing investigation.
The regulator said it will also seek assurance about Thenue’s progress with the recruitment of a permanent chief executive and its longer term succession plans for the governing body.
The engagement plan will run from 9 January 2026 to 31 March 2026. The regulator said the landlord, which owns and manages around 3,100 homes across Glasgow, is engaging openly and constructively.
Thenue has been approached for comment.
