Kevin Bolt is expected to hold position for nearly a year
Platform Housing Group has announced the appointment of Kevin Bolt as its interim group chief executive.
In August, the 50,000-home association announced that its current chief, Elizabeth Froude, would be joining for-profit provider Sage Homes as its chief at the end of January 2026.

Bolt, who until recently served as interim chief executive at Octavia, will join Platform on 5 January on a part-time basis, before assuming the interim group chief executive role full-time from the start of February.
Before working at Octavia, Bolt spent nine years as chief executive at BPHA.
Platform’s board expects to confirm the appointment of a permanent group chief in December 2025.
John Weguelin, chair of Platform Housing Group said: “We’re delighted to welcome Kevin to Platform. His extensive leadership experience and deep understanding of the housing sector will provide strong continuity as we transition to a new permanent Chief Executive.
“On behalf of the board, I’d like to thank Elizabeth for her outstanding leadership over the past six years. She leaves a strong, ambitious and well positioned organisation, and we look forward to continuing to build on that legacy.”
Bolt added: “I’m very pleased to be joining Platform at such an important time in its journey. The organisation has a clear strategy, a strong financial base and a real commitment to its customers and communities.
“I look forward to working with the Board and colleagues to continue that progress and ensure a smooth transition.”
Yesterday, the Midlands-focused housing association published unaudited results for the half year to 30 September 2025, which revealed completions had risen 46.8%, from 451 to 662.
Turnover was down marginally (0.4%) from £189.6m to £188.8m, while operating surplus also fell 6.6% to £46.6m.
