Fabian Society urges more powers for council housebuilding and loosening of green belt restrictions

he next prime minister could unlock 87,000 extra homes a year through a package “quick win” policies, according to a Labour-affiliated think tank.

A new report by the Fabian Society, in partnership with the Land, Planning and Development Federation, has set out a series of “high-impact, low-cost policies” that it says could be started by the end of the year without primary legislation.
