Pair proposing to redevelop former university site in the town centre
Muse and Homes England have submitted plans for the regeneration of a former university site in Slough town centre.
The pair are engaged in a development partnership, agreed after the latter bought the 3.6ha site, formerly used by Thames Valley University, from Slough Borough Council in 2023.

The £640m redevelopment, labelled North West Quadrant, would see the construction of 1,500 new homes, an office, and 3,000 sq m of shops and cafes.
The scheme will also include a nursery, community events space, and new green areas.
“The submission of this planning application is a significant milestone for North West Quadrant and for the economic transformation of Slough town centre,” said Chris Scott, development director at Muse.
“The project plays a key role in the town centre’s regeneration and supports Slough Borough Council’s long‑term vision for growth, alongside other key town centre development projects.”
