Karbon Homes will launch its Karbon Foundation this summer

Karbon Foundation, which is due to become operational this summer, aims to provide services and support for its residents around financial wellbeing, employment, skills and training, community investment and grants, social value, placeshaping and addressing social isolation.

It will be led by the 34,000-home landlord’s assistant director of customer and community engagement Philip Pollard and guided by a board of six trustees appointed last autumn.

According to Karbon, the foundation will build on the work of the group’s customer and community engagement teams by “providing inclusive, practical and locally-led support services to people who need it most.”

Paul Fiddaman, chief executive of Karbon Group, said: “Through [Karbon Foundation], we can widen the reach of our existing support services and access different funding, ensuring more people feel supported, and continue to build on the strong relationships we have with local charities, community groups and partners.”

The new charity will work with all of the group’s subsidiary organisations, operating across the Northeast and Yorkshire.
