Llewelyn-Davies to chair organisation expected to be formed by merger of Thrive Homes and Watford Community Housing
Experienced housing leader Hattie Llewelyn-Davies has been appointed chair-designate of a new landlord expected to be formed from a merger next year.
Llewelyn-Davies, who also chairs Eastlight Homes, will become chair of the landlord potentially going to be created by a merger of Thrive Homes and Watford Community Housing next June. Llewelyn-Davies has been appointed chair of WCH in the meantime.
Llewelyn-Davies has previously chaired PA Housing and Viridian Housing and was chief executive of Shpeherds Bush Housing Group.

Thrive which owns around 5,500-homes, and 7,500-home WCH have approved an outline business case for the proposal, which would see the creation of a new “community gateway” housing association.
The organisations said the move “aims to improve services for residents by combining resources, expertise and operational capacity, to better serve communities and address the growing demand for high-quality social housing.” Both organisations are consulting residents over the proposal.
Tina Barnard, chief executive of WCH: “We’re delighted to welcome Hattie to Watford Community Housing, and as chair designate for our proposed partnership with Thrive Homes.
“She brings a wealth of experience and a comprehensive understanding of the Community Gateway ethos, which underpins our work.”
Under the community gateway model, residents have more of a say over decision making and can vote at AGM and stand at election to the board.
