Financing affordable housing ‘impossible’ in London, says CEO of homelessness non-profit forced to close

Capital Letters, owned by a group of London councils, was set up to tackle homelessness but is set to shut down at the end of the year

A non-profit focused on addressing homelessness and reducing spending on temporary accommodation in the capital is set to close.

Capital Letters, which is owned by ten London boroughs, said its decision to cease operation at the end of this year had been taken “with a very heavy heart” after exhausting options for financing.
