Runcorn-based firm predicts ‘consolidation’ year in 2026 following rapid growth over past 12 months
Castle Green Homes has posted significant increases in its annual profit and turnover in what it described as a “transformational year” for the business.

The Runcorn-based housebuilder, in its accounts to 31 March 2025, reported turnover of £168.2m, up 92% year-on-year on the £87.5m posted for the previous year.
Its pre-tax profit more than doubled from £4.2m to £10.3m and its completions increased from 291 to 602.
The housebuilder’s turnover was boosted by £56.7m due to the completion of its 74-home Maes Yr Haul development in north Wales. Its partnership revenue rose from £27.5m to £63.3m which it said was due to full year’s activity at its Mynydd Isa, Deeside and Crewe schemes, and the commencement of a new scheme at Congleton, where it is delivering nearly 400 homes in partnership with housing association Torus.
The firm said: “As predicted, FY25 was a transformational year for Castle Green, driven by growth in the number of homes built, increased turnover, expanded regional outlet openings and a strengthened secured land bank.”
Castle Green expects 2026 to be a “year of consolidation” with results in line with 2025.
Castle Green placed 44th in Housing Today’s annual Top 50 Housebuilders list last month. Its higher level of turnover reported for 2025 would push it up to 31st based on last year’s rankings.
