The government’s landmark bill is progressing through parliament at speed. Lisa Tye explains what the legislation means for the sector

The government hit the ground running last year with promise of radical reform to the planning system to “get Britain building”.

 In the first few months a raft of planning policy changes were consulted on and brought in but there was also promises of more significant changes that needed legislation to deliver. The Planning and Infrastructure Bill was revealed in March and is now going through the Parliamentary process (and doing so at some speed for a bill of its size).
