What makes a good employer?

Social housing sector professionals are, arguably, facing more challenges than ever before.

Funding pressures, an ageing population, the temporary accommodation crisis and local authority cuts have meant housing association employee teams must often battle on multiple fronts as they aim for high levels of service for residents in a difficult environment.

Increased regulation too, whether it be Awaab’s Law, new consumer standards, the forthcoming revamped Decent Homes Standard and, for some schemes, building safety rules, are also putting further pressure on those who work in the sector.
