Nine month wait to get building safety sign-off for new builds, regulator admits

When new regulations were introduced 18 months, planned target was to get decisions made with 12 weeks

Figures from the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) show that the average amount of time it is taking to get gateway 2 safety sign-off is 36 weeks – three times the planned 12 weeks timeframe.
