David Ball lands role on a permanent basis

Vivid has appointed David Ball as chief financial officer on a permanent basis.

The 37,000-home Hampshire-based housing association has announced the appointment of Ball, who has been serving as interim since May.

Ball has worked at Vivid or its predecessor organisations for 16 years having joined First Wessex as business and finance manager in 2009. Before that he held roles in the utilities sector.

Mark Perry, chief executive of Vivid, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome David to the team. His dedication and expertise have played a key role in strengthening our financial foundation, helping us deliver high-quality homes and outstanding services to our customers and communities.”

Vivid has been one of the biggest developers in the housing association sector over the past few years. According to Housing Today’s Largest 50 Housing Associations list, the landlord was the sixth biggest builder in 2024/25 with 1,500 completions.
