James Lidgate to sit on executive leadership team
Vistry has appointed former Taylor Wimpey managing director as its group development director.
The housebuilder said James Lidgate “will be responsible for driving the group’s strategy across land, planning, sustainability and business improvement”. He will also co-chair its investment committee and sit on its executive leadership team.
Lidgate spent four years at Taylor Wimpey and before that spent four years at Legal & General where he was in charge of its housing operations. He also spent a decade at Bellway in various roles.
Vistry chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: “His deep expertise of growing some of the UK’s most successful housebuilding businesses across multi-tenure strategies aligns closely with our own long-term vision.”
Vistry is due to announce its 2025 results on 4 March.
