Vistry said that Ian Hilliker (pictured) is to join the business as managing director of Vistry Partnership for the North west region.

Hilliker joins from Jones homes, where he was Northwest regional director, prio to which he was for 12 year technical director at Barratt.

Ian joins as Vistry seeks to fully establish itself following its formation from the New Year merger of housebuilder Bovis with Galliford Try’s housebuilding and partnerships housing businesses.

Hilliker said the business was already showing the benefits of working with others to deliver bespoke communities. “Although I have joined the company at a very unusual time, I am really looking forward to the challenge ahead,” he said.

Last month the firm said it had sold 450 homes during lockdown, performing “better than expected”, but had nevertheless identified almost £10m of cost savings from bringing the business together, which would result in further job losses beyond the 8% staff reduction already envisaged.
