Regeneration specialist Urban Splash has added another modular homes concept to its housing range.

Mansion House, a modular apartment complex designed by architect Shedkm, comprises a medium-rise block featuring six to 10 flats and is the third modular offering from the Manchester-headquartered firm.

Set to be installed in New Islington in Manchester – alongside the firm’s first modular product, the Town House – and going on sale in the summer, the homes will be built in Bilbao, Spain.

Each apartment will feature a dual aspect, an 8m² balcony, and the main structure will comprise of cross-laminated timber. Buyers will be able to choose a layout that suits them from a range of nine different schemes.

Urban Splash’s chairman and co-founder Tony Bloxham said the homes would “challenge design convention and redefine the concept of apartment living”.

A year ago this month Urban Splash bought SIG’s modular homes business for £1.
