The Barnet Council-owned group manages 13,000 homes
The Barnet Group has appointed Elliott Sweetman as group chief executive.
Sweetman held the role of interim group chief executive for the past year.
He has spent nine years at the firm, in various roles, and has 20 years of sector experience.
The Barnet Group is owned by Barnet Council and manages 13,000 homes in the borough.

Sweetman said: “It’s an incredible privilege to be appointed as the permanent group chief executive of this outstanding organisation. At a time when the challenges in housing and social care are more complex than ever, I’m looking forward to working with our talented and dedicated team to build on The Barnet Group’s strong track record.“
Eamon McGoldrick, chair of The Barnet Group, said: “[The] board members are delighted to have Elliott taking on the role of chief executive. He brings considerable skills and knowledge to the role. He is also very familiar with the context and challenges facing The Barnet Group and the Council currently.
He added: “Elliott will have the full support of the board and myself as we go forward. I look forward to continuing working with Elliott and his team, as we deal with the challenges ahead and work hard to support our residents and service users.”
