HOK-designed west London development will feature 850 homes

Transport for London (TfL) has been given the green light for its biggest development to date, an 850-home housing scheme in Acton.

Plans for the huge 3.6ha Bollo Lane site were cleared by Ealing council on Wednesday evening, with the nine-block scheme set to provide 50% affordable homes and more than 2,300sq m of commercial space.

Designed by HOK, the west London job’s project team includes engineer Mott MacDonald, planning consultant JLL and landscape architect East.

So far, 6,650 homes on TfL’s housing programme have already been approved with a further 1,500 having started on site.

TfL said it aims to provide at least 10,000 homes across the capital as part of its housing programme, which includes a commitment that each site will include an average of 50% affordable homes on all schemes brought to the market since May 2016.
