Former Salix boss Lee Sugden to join as interim CEO next month
The chief executive of Solihull Community Housing has announced her retirement.

Fiona Hughes, who has led the 10,000-home arm’s-length management organisation for 11 years, is standing down. Lee Sugden, former boss of Salix Homes, will take over as interim chief executive while SCH recruits a permanent successor.
Hughes joined SCH in 2011 having previously worked as constituency director at Birmingham City Council, where she was responsible for landlord services.
Hughes said: “It has been an absolute privilege to lead SCH as chief executive through a period of great change within the housing sector, in particular the building safety and regulatory changes introduced following tragic failures including Grenfell and the death of Awaab Ishak.
“It really will be a wrench to leave such a great organisation but I know SCH is in safe hands with our board chair Simon Wilson who I know will work to support the new interim CEO.”
