Company buys Norfolk roofing business Aspect Group Services

Cardo Group, which last month reported a two-thirds increase in its turnover, has acquired its 11th firm in a little over 18 months.

The social housing repairs and maintenance firm reported turnover of £239m for the year to 28 February, up 66% on the £145m posted the previous year.

The firm, which is owned by private equity firm Buckthorn Partners and founder Liam Bevan, has bought 10 firms since February last year and has now announced that it has bought Norfolk roofing and building maintenance firm Aspect Group Services for an undisclosed sum.

Aspect was set up in 1972 and specialises in roofing, property maintenance and renewable energy solutions.

The firm employs around 150 people and has a turnover of £20.5m.

Bevan said: ”Aspect Group Services is a strong addition to Cardo Group, bringing highly regarded expertise across roofing and building maintenance and its track record as a leading provider of property services in East Anglia.”

Cardo is targeting turnover of £460m in its current financial year which ends next February and is expected to surpass the £500m mark the following year.
