Soho Housing announces new board chair alongside three more appointments from Stonewater and the Guinness Partnership

Soho Housing, a small housing association in London, has made a series of new board appointments.

Andy McWilliams, new board chair at Soho Housing

The 800-home landlord has appointed Andy McWilliams as its board chair. The e-commerce specialist previously served as a non‑executive director and vice chair at Wandle Housing Association for nine years and led digital transformation at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

With 30% of its revenue generated by its commercial portfolio, Soho Housing said McWilliams will “play a key role in the strategic direction and management of the association’s commercial portfolio” in his new role.

Meanwhile, Anne Costain, currently chief financial officer at Stonewater Housing Association, will be stepping into the position of audit and risk committee chair.

Angela Drum, currently director of governance and legal services at the Guinness Partnership, has been made non-executive director of governance. She has previously served as director of legal services at Clarion Housing Group.

Jonathan Rae has been appointed as independent member of the audit and risk committee. He is the finance director at build-to-rent developer Platform and was previously head of investor relations at British Land.
