Cornovii Developments is owned by Shropshire council

Cornovii Developments has been given the green light for a 33-home scheme in Shrewsbury.

It is the first project for the Shropshire council-owned housebuilder, which was set up in 2019.

How the scheme will look when built

The AHR-designed scheme will consist of a mix of two- to four-bedroom homes and will be located in Crowmoor, close to Shrewsbury town centre.

The council undertook an assessment of available land within Shrewsbury before earmarking the 0.89ha site, which is currently occupied by a former care home which has been vacant for three years.

Cornovii has also lodged plans for a 40-home scheme in the village of St Martins, close to the Welsh border.
