Ian McDonald, chair of SBHA’s board who stepped up to the role last month, said: “I want to thank Julia for her outstanding leadership, vision and dedication to SBHA and the communities we serve.

“Under her leadership SBHA has grown from strength to strength, with a sharper customer focus, significantly increased investment in existing and new homes, alongside deeper partnerships across the Scottish Borders.”

Mulloy’s leadership will continue through the transition period. The board will now begin the recruitment process to appoint the next chief executive.

SBHA is based in Selkirk and has 5,600 across the Scottish Borders region.
