Peter Cogan will take over from interim chief executive Susan Hickey in 2026

Peter Cogan will become chief executive of Red Kite Community Housing next year

Cogan will join the Buckinghamshire housing association in 2026 from Watford Community Housing, where he is currently group director of operations.

He has previously served as interim director of customer operations at Optivo, before the landlord merged with Southern Housing in 2022, and as executive director of customer service at RHP Group.

He is also a group board member for Newlon Housing Trust.

Susan Hickey, Red Kite’s interim group chief executive, will remain in post until Cogan takes over.

She was appointed following the retirement of former group chief executive Trevor Morrow, who left the organisation in April 2025.

Red Kite owns and manages around 6,600 homes in the Wycombe district.
