First Base and RPMI Railpen seek permission for mixed-use scheme
Developer First Base and pensions investment manager RPMI Railpen have submitted plans for a mixed-use scheme in Cambridge which includes 100 build to rent homes.
The Devonshire Gardens scheme, designed by Buckley Gray Yeoman, will deliver apartments of varying sizes in three buildings. The homes, which will all be for rent, will be managed by in the long term by RPMI Railpen. RPMI Railpen manages the £35billion railways pension scheme.
The scheme, on a site currently used as a Travis Perkins depot, also includes 120,000 sq ft of workspace and a new park featuring 100 trees.
First Base was last month given permission for a 250-home mixed use scheme in Bristol.
Travis Perkins plans to move its depot to new premises elsewhere in Cambridge.
