Housebuilder seeking approval for fourth phase of major scheme
Persimmon has submitted plans to build 266 homes in the fourth residential phase of a major development in Wiltshire.
The latest phase of the project will bring the total number of new homes at Jubilee Gardens in Warminster to 722.
Outline permission was granted for up to 1,000 homes on the site in 2020.
As part of the latest plans, the housebuilding giant’s ‘Wessex’ business would build 61 properties for a local housing association, bringing the total number of such homes to 300.
The local council recently approved sports pitches, changing facilities, allotments and ecology areas for the site.
This phase of the scheme is expected to generate a Community Infrastructure Levy payment of around £700,000.
Persimmon Homes Wessex managing director Seb Spiller, said: “I am pleased that Persimmon has submitted its latest planning application in Warminster, demonstrating our commitment to delivering low-cost, high-quality, much-needed homes in the town.

“Creating a sense of place as part of our mission to deliver a positive and lasting legacy is important to Persimmon, and we are evidently bringing that to Jubilee Gardens, not just through new housing, but the supporting infrastructure that goes with it.
“We are extremely proud of what we have achieved on-site already and are proud to have hosted many stakeholders there over the years, so we are very excited to present our plans for the next stage of construction to the local authority and working with them to achieve our mutual goals.”
