Regulator conducting ‘systematic review’ of guidance

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) is exploring “all possible options” with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) to ensure it can deal with high volumes of applications, according to the building safety minister.

The time taken for developments to receive gateway 2 approval from the regulator has been a point of discontent in the industry since the new regime was introduced, with some claiming waits of up to nine months.
