Housing association LiveWest is to deliver nearly 2,000 new homes across the south west of England as part of a joint venture with Bovis Homes.

The JV will deliver 831 homes in Taunton, 678 homes in Exeter and 398 in Tavistock over the next 15 years.

Funded by LiveWest – and in the case of the Taunton and Exeter additional schemes by Homes England – the homes will be part of the housing association’s plans to deliver 16,000 homes in the next decade.

The JV will also contribute to the construction of a local shopping centre and community hubs across the schemes, with further investment in road improvements and what it called “sustainable travel initiatives”.

Earlier this month LiveWest revealed details of the developments being funded by a recent £250m capital raising exercise.

The group will deliver 350 new homes over the next eight years at Hartliffe campus in Bristol, in partnership with Keepmoat Homes.

And a venture with Barratt would see 158 homes being built over the next five years, 36 of which have already been completed, as well as 116 new homes built at Sherford in Plymouth.
