Each of the 14 local authorities will receive up to £50,000 to pay for expert advice

More than a dozen local authorities have successfully applied to join the Local Government Association’s Housing Advisers Programme (HAP).

The HAP, which is in its third year, pays for independent advice for councils looking to carry out specific projects such as housebuilding, ageing population planning and increasing the supply of modular housebuilding.

The LGA has awarded up to £50,000 to each of the successful 14 applicant local authorities.
