Firm’s chief executive says changes are part of strategic initiative launched last year

Sheffield-based housebuilder Gleeson Homes has announced a series of senior appointments and promotions.

Scott Robinson has been named major projects director for the northern division, Jim Brooks joins as regional managing director for South and West Yorkshire, and Marc Lansdowne takes the role of divisional finance director for the central region.

Meanwhile, Oli Bugden, who joined the firm four-and-a-half years ago, has been promoted to finance director, while Keiron Coulter, who has been with Gleeson for nine years, has been promoted to group finance director.

The changes are part of Gleeson’s strategic initiative Project Transform, which was launched last autumn to increase operational efficiency and regional autonomy while maintaining robust oversight.

MJ Gleeson chief executive Graham Prothero said: “These appointments represent much more than a change in reporting lines, they are a statement of intent.

“With Project Transform, we are fundamentally reshaping the way we operate to build a more accountable and cost effective business, with more efficient ways of working.

“By strategically strengthening regional leadership and embedding financial expertise closer to the point of delivery, we expect to see a marked improvement in the pace and quality of our builds, tighter cost control and sharper execution across the board at Gleeson Homes.”

In his new role, Robinson will support the team in East Yorkshire and Cumbria with the delivery of complex, large-scale developments, leading on all third-party contractual requirements and managing developments from initial land negotiations through to major infrastructure handover.

Brooks will lead growth initiatives and oversee the safe delivery of new homes in South and West Yorkshire, while Lansdowne will work closely with regional teams to bridge local financial needs.

Gleeson Homes is part of MJ Gleeson plc, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
